With combined decades of Industry experience and hijinks in muddy fields, the team at The Armchair Armoury have been making chainmail for what seems like forever. We can't imagine our lives without this strange business so use us please, ask us anything!
Matt Kaz
They/Them
Creative Director/ Master Chainmail Fabricator
Matt has worked in the costume and prop making industry for over a decade, starting on projects like Guardians of the Galaxy and Rogue One, with their most recent work being on House of the Dragon & Rings of Power. They started life in prop modelling but diversified into costuming and Costume FX. Having taken over running the company in 2018, they have focused most of their creative energy into the art of chainmail and medieval fantasy projects.
Raye
She/Her
Administration /Jewellery
Raye is most likely to be the first point of call for our clients, as she is never more than an email away. She takes care of all of the admin needed to keep such a diverse company on track while occasionally turning her hand to weaving chainmail when she can. Raye knows not all armour looks like a hauberk, so is currently working on her own line of chainmail jewellery!
Gwyndolin

Junior Modeller /Smith
While relatively new to the art of chainmail, Gwyn’s obsession with metals started in 2015 with a course in blacksmithing. Self taught from then on, Gwyn has a range of experience with different metal crafts, including engraving, metal casting and silver-smithing.
